Alex is the Centre’s Head of Operations. She is a senior international development professional with over a decade of strategic operational leadership and programme management experience.
She previously held Senior Programme Management roles at ODI Global, where she managed the strategic and operational functions of the Politics and Governance programme, and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), where she led the programme management of action-research initiatives focusing on urban development and environmental issues. She also served as an Engagement Advisor to the Coalition for Urban Transitions, a joint initiative of the World Resources Institute (WRI) and C40 Cities, supporting high-level advocacy efforts to influence urban policy agendas globally.
Alex is also Senior Advisor and Member of the Board of Directors at the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP), an independent think tank dedicated to promoting dialogue, research, and policy solutions on regional security, cooperation, and development issues in Cambodia and the broader Asia-Pacific.
She holds an MA (Honours) in Economics from the University of Glasgow. From 2011 to 2012, she was a WSD Handa Non-Resident Fellow at the Pacific Forum – CSIS. She is French-Cambodian (Khmer) and is currently based in London.
