Audrey Palama
Audrey has extensive experience in engaging armed groups towards a better respect of IHL and human rights, in conducting consultation processes and elaborating policies, guidelines and training manuals. She is currently focusing on urban violence and on issues related to the role of state and non-state armed actors in nature conservation.
Audrey has fifteen years operational experience in conflict zones as well as headquarters experience with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She coordinated ICRC’s armed groups consultation on health care access and supported the Americas region on challenges related to gangs and profit-driven groups.
As an independent consultant, she coordinates and conducts studies, and develops guidelines and training manuals on issues related to urban violence, armed groups and the environment. Audrey is a graduate of the Kedge Business School in Bordeaux and holds an MSc in international law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She is currently in the process of obtaining a bachelor of psychology.
