Christoph Vogel
Christoph Vogel is an investigator and writer specialising in conflict and politics in Central Africa. Based on over 15 years research experience, 7 years of fieldwork, and 1000+ qualitative interviews, surveys and collaborative research projects, he has extensively published about conflict and politics in Central Africa in academic journals, for broader publics and in official capacity as a former UN Security Council expert. A globally recognised specialist on Central Africa and the Great Lakes region, Christoph regularly fields media inquiries and provides advise to humanitarian and international organizations, embassies and NGOs. Exposed to international and intercultural settings since childhood, Christoph’s work has a strong collaborative and multilingual focus and is informed by critical theoretical and epistemic foundations and decidedly decolonial ethics and methodology. Through the Suluhu platform, Christoph promotes young researchers from Central Africa.
