Sarah Kilani
Sarah Kilani is an international aid practitioner with over 12 years of experience in the Middle East, North Africa and the Central Sahel. She has held a variety of positions at research centers and international organizations providing analysis and actionable strategy and policy advice on engagement with non-state armed actors, local governance actors, and humanitarian access for government entities, non-profits and policy institutions.
Most recently, Sarah led the Norwegian Refugee Council’s work across work across 30+ country operations and contributing to the global humanitarian system on humanitarian access and negotiations. Working across teams, and with institutions outside of the sector, including academia, she strived to identify alternative ways to address barriers to operational access, reimagining humanitarian negotiations and challenging dogmatic policies.
