Rahmatullah Amiri is an independent researcher focused on social-political issues, security, armed nonstate actors, peace and reconciliation, countering violent extremism, and humanitarian issues. He has authored numerous reports and articles on the Taliban and the conflict and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, for the US Institute of Peace, Afghanistan Analysts Network and others. He graduated with a BA from the American University of Afghanistan.
